Small Group Instruction

Small group instruction occurs when a teacher takes 2-4 children aside to work on a particular skill.  It may be a group ready to learn something above and beyond what the class has been learning, or it may be a group that needs to review something that is being taught.   Sometimes another teacher may take out a small group out of the room to review and reinforce skills while the regular teacher can work with a smaller group in the regular classroom setting.  Occasionally, a student may need some one-on-one instruction from a teacher to work on a particular lesson.

Children may also be allowed to work on the computers in God’s Garden (children’s room at FUMC adjoining Rainbow dining room).  These computers have Bible stories and activities, coloring pages, music, etc., that children enjoy
